The IKS basic computer item no 1000 The aquaristics computer iks Aquastar is a state-of the art system of modular construction that caters for all of your needs where automatic monitoring and control of every major water and lighting factor is concerned for both fresh- and seawater aquariums. With it, you can build up your own individual system to suit your personal requirements and your pocket. Regardless of whether you want a good-value means of monitoring and regulating lighting, temperature and pH-value in your tank with a standard set-up or you want to automate as many extra functions as you can think of, the iks Aquastar is the answer! Besides extensive timed functions, you also have at your fingertips measuring modules for pH-value, redox potential, temperature, conductivity, water level, oxygen und air pressure. Additional modules are currently undergoing development. Up to eight of these modules can be connected to the system in any combination. Thus, it is possible, for example, to take multiple pH measurements (e.g. in a calcium reactor and in the aquarium) or even in several tanks quite independently of each other. For more detailed info visit the IKS website.

The IKS pH-module Item no 1001 You can continuously measure and regulate the pH-value of your aquarium with the help of this module. As the module is galvanically separated from the basis system, the pH-value can also be measured at different points within a single water circuit without the individual sensors having an effect on each other. |

The IKS Redox module Item 1002 You can continuously measure and regulate the redox
potential of your aquarium with the help of this module. As the module
is galvanically separated from the basis system, the redox potential can
also be measured at different points within a single water circuit
without the individual sensors having an effect on each other. You can
choose between having the redox potential displayed on the iks Aquastar
in mV or as the rH-value. |

The IKS conductivity module item no 1003 Just as all the other models are, the conductivity
module is suitable for both freshwater and seawater aquariums. In
freshwater aquariums, the conductivity is displayed in µS/cm. In the
case of seawater aquariums you can choose between having the
conductivity displayed in mS/cm, the salt content or the density! All
measurements are relative to a reference temperature of 25°C. In the
section Tips and Tricks, you will find a table for the conversion of
conductivity into salt content and density. |

The IKS temperature module item no 1004 The temperature can be precisely and continuously measured and controlled in your aquarium with the temperature module. You can stipulate a variety of settings for day and night, and for summer and winter, too. You can reproduce natural changes in temperature in your aquarium. The waterproof temperature sensor also allows temperature measurement in the bed of the aquarium, for example. Tip: |

The IKS water level
module item no 1005 The water-level module
(automatic water-level system) enables you to maintain a constant level
of water in your aquarium fully automatically. Used in the system and
worth a special mention is the optical sensor with an integrated
micro-controller. The sensor (intelligent sensor) also incorporates an
anti-wave function for protecting the top-up pump. This avoids having to
switch off the pump on and off unnecessarily, preventing it from wearing
out prematurely. In comparison to mechanical float switches, the sensor
used here is totally wear-free, has a greater operating reliability and
can, for example, also be mounted horizontally inside a tank. This gives
this sensor a wide range of applications. |

|
The IKS oxygen module item no 1008 Using the
oxygen module, the iks Aquastar can continuously measure and regulate
the oxygen content in your aquarium. And while it's doing so, you can
have the oxygen content displayed in mg/l or the oxygen saturation in %.
As the module is galvanically separated from the basis system, the
oxygen content can be measured at different points in a water circuit
without the individual sensors having an effect on each other. Of
course, the oxygen sensor is suited to freshwater and seawater. |

The IKS switched
socket item no 1006 For control and activation/deactivation of lighting, heating, pumps, valves... Up to four switch socket panels can be connected to the iks Aquastar system, each with four switch outputs. You can therefore individually control a total of 16 sockets. The iks switch socket panel comes in two models: one is a panel (item no. 1006) whose sockets (outputs) are switched on or off by the iks Aquastar and the other is a variable-output (or "dimmable") version (item no. 1009) whose output can be progressively changes with the help of an integrated phase-angle control unit. This panel has been specially developed for the simulation of current an natural light. Switched socket applications: Control processes (e.g. solenoid valve for pH-value, heating element for temperature) Timers (e.g. various lamps, dosing pumps, automatic feed dispensers etc.) Simulation of currents (e.g. current pumps) Interval functions |

The IKS simmod module
item no 1014 The sun, moon and Aquastar - and see your aquarium in quite a different light ! IKS Aquastar SIMMOD 0 (1) -10V, the interface based on lighting and automation technology, now available in the field of aquaristics, too. This 4-channel module allows the multitude of simulations of light and current that the iks Aquastar and iks Aquastar midi systems provide to be used to their greatest effect. All you require to be able to dim fluorescent tubes are electronically dimmable ballast units (ECG e.g. Osram (Quicktronic®) , Philips (HF-Regulator) etc.). Contact the manufacturer of your particular lighting for details of the appropriate ballast units ! In its "System 60", the German company Giesemann Lichttechnik (Giesemann Lighting) provides a suitable lighting unit with the appropriate means of connection. We recommend the iks aquastar luxus lamps, developed specially for this interface and extremely easy to use. But current pumps with an output of up to several kilowatts can be controlled by means of this module and so-called frequency converters. This may be of interest particularly for larger systems. |

The IKS Vario pro
4 item no 2004
This dosing units ability to be connected directed to the iks aquastar and iks aquastar midi control units make it probably the most convenient to use, multi-channel dosing system for aquariums available on the market at the moment. It enables doses to be administered at any time and in any quantity. It is thus possible, for example, to add a liquid to the aquarium every hour in the easiest possible way. This allows the daily dose to be distributed evenly over a period of your choice (e.g. 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.). One of the great advantages of dosing continuously in this way over the methods employed by other dosing devices that commonly only add a single dose per day is, for example, the optimum utilisation of trace elements in a seawater aquarium. Each channel can be set individually. The smallest possible dose is approximately 0.6 ml. Practical: every channel can also be activated manually by means of a switch. This is especially useful when, for example, changing a bottle |

The IKS dosing
pump item no 2000/2002 In contrast to conventional proportioning pumps, which in the majority of cases have hoses made of silicon, the iks Vario proportioning pumps employ the far more durable elastomer Poliolefinic for its hoses. What makes the iks Vario proportioning pumps particularly stand out is their high degree of reliability and their adjustable speed of rotation. The flow can be set precisely. This makes the iks Vario especially suitable for the following uses: IKS Vario applications replacing evaporated water topping up lime-water operation of calcium reactors and nitrate filters Liquid fertilizer top-ups Dosing trace elements |

The IKS Vario 3
plus 3-channel dosing system item no 2003 This measuring out system was developed to supply the aquarium with the regularly needed trace elements. It allows the concentration of these elements to be constantly maintained at an optimum level, thus avoiding harmful fluctuations in concentrations. The necessary daily quantities can be divided up and supplied to the aquarium at prespecified times. Tiresome filling and topping-up by hand are now a thing of the past. Using this compact and accurate system, you can measure out up to 3 different liquids with great precision. The special design of the hose pump used in this system ensures that each channel transports identical quantities. The dosage is controlled by the speed of the pump and with a digital time-controller (t-con) that retains its programming for up to a year using commercially available batteries and without mains electricity. The digital time-controller enables you to switch on the pump every hour for 2.5 or 10 seconds. That means: practically no concentration fluctuations. The smallest dosage is around a mere 0.05 ml! Please note! The pump is not suitable for permanent operation. |
